Our Story
We came to the Dordogne in 2016 to get married and fell completely in love with the area. We bought Masion Secrète in 2019 and just loved the landscape and the surrounding woodland, as well as the easy access to the great bars, restaurants and market in Monpazier.
Phil and I wanted to create stylish, comfortable apartments for amazing holidays and as a perfect base to discover the rich cultural and historic delights of the area. We also wanted to minimise our impact on the environment, so we’ve installed solar (PV) panels generating our own electricity, use well water for non-domestic water needs and have reclaimed as much material from the original barn as possible. Some of our furniture has been hand crafted by Phil from reclaimed materials and we have used local artisans to make the glass doors and the spiral staircases, so we can genuinely say we are giving you a truly unique holiday experience.
